DJ ZORRO, formally DJ Direks One, has reemerged on the scene with his unique stylings and blends, leading with mash-ups, hip-hop, left-field bass, trap, G-house, world music or whatever feels good and comes from the heart. Borne from a dynamic past steeped deep within the Pacific Northwest underground rave and hip-hop scene of the mid-90’s, DJ ZORRO presents his globally influenced, message-driven sound unlike any other.

After years of booking/working directly with artists such as Common, OutKast, Gil Scott Heron and Eminem, while finding influence from djs like DJ’s Z-trip, Mixmaster Mike and DJ B-Mello, DJ ZORRO mixes up these classic greats with the more recent music and stylings of CloZee, El Speaker, ATYYA and An-Ten-Nae.

Combining strong deck skills and first-class digital chops with an ear for the unusual and intriguing, DJ ZORRO sets are a journey through visceral experience, sonic brilliance and exceptional beats.
